It’s that fabulous time of the month again where I get to work and play at the lake for the WHOLE WEEK!
(Insert an enthusiastic jump off of a sand dune here, complete with a big smile and my arms outstretched to the heavens.)
Similar to before, I’ll be splitting my time between being at our up north abode and traveling to my further distance locations for meetings, where I’ll have the pleasure of staying in one of my favorite lakeside towns for a couple of nights. This means getting to explore and take in some of the sights I don’t usually get to enjoy on a regular basis, which is always a nice change of pace when away from the comforts and routine of home.
One of the things I’m going to spend some time on are these fabulous Fall Into Freedom worksheets developed and shared by Jess Connolly a few weeks ago. Much like the PowerSheets, this is yet another tool to prepare my heart and mind for the coming season. And the peace, quiet, and slower pace of up north will allow me the time and space to do just this.
I’m really happy to be back up here for another week. There aren’t many of these lakeside days left in the year, and I am determined to make the absolute most of them until it’s time to be home for good again.
Hope you’re all reveling in these last days of summer too! Have a great rest of the week, friends!
“The lake gives me something to aspire to – a reminder, a rhythm, a pattern. Simple, connected to God and his world and people, uncomplicated by lots of stuff.”
