Good morning, friends! Today I wanted to take a minute to wish you all a very Happy (early) Thanksgiving!
I don’t know where this particular holiday and season finds you, but if you by chance find yourself in a place of uncertainty, challenge, and waiting, then I want you to know that you are not alone. Despite all the beautiful and good things in my life right now, there are things I am in the process of working out, praying for, and waiting on in this season. It feels hard and messy and unsure and can really hurt like hell some days; the “seen” things can make it look worse than it is at times. But what’s getting me through is my hope in the “unseen” – the truth and belief I cling to that God is working all things out on my behalf and for His glory, even if I don’t know how it all turns out in the end.
So on this Thanksgiving Eve, I want you to know that no matter what is going on, how you are feeling, or how you are spending the next four days of this holiday weekend – there is MUCH to be grateful for. And I encourage you to find the joy, the beauty, the hope, and the goodness in the ordinary moments when you’re by yourself, or surrounded by family and friends, or out on the town starting your Christmas shopping. May we be reminded in these days just how amazing our one wild and precious life is and give thanks for it all!
Happy Thanksgiving, friends. Be blessed!
