A couple of weeks ago, I was scrolling through Instagram and came upon a simple post by Rach Kincaid who ended her blurb with this quote:
Ministry is everywhere, because the Gospel is everywhere.
I just LOVE this! And ever since I read it, it’s been rolling around in my brain, hence today’s blog post.
You see, if you’re anything like me, you might sometimes forget that the Gospel of Jesus Christ – the Good News – isn’t just a “one-time, here-today-gone-tomorrow, available for a limited time only” thing. The Gospel is literally a living, breathing, active, real-life thing that was before we were and will be after we are gone. And it is EVERYWHERE, the Spirit of God infiltrating our hearts, minds, souls and the entire world around us with the hope of glory.
Doesn’t that just make you want to say, “Amen?!?” AMEN!
So for those of us who believe and belong to this Gospel, we are ambassadors of this Good News to the people and places God calls us to serve. And I’m not just talking about those of us who may have fancy titles, big paychecks, or who work in the church setting. I’m talking about ALL of us – in whatever sphere God has us in – stay-at-home mom, fitness instructor, sales rep, blogger/speaker/writer, VP, nurse, social worker, lawyer, doctor, wife, artist, sister, teacher, friend, etc. – we are MINISTERS of His grace, love, goodness, compassion, mercy, and forgiveness – the very best news there ever has been!
To put it simply: In whatever roles you are in, in whatever places you are, you are a minister of the Gospel, in His name and for His glory.
I just think this it is so very cool that God allows us – ordinary, imperfect, needy people – to be a part of building His Kingdom here on earth. How exciting for us to have the opportunity every single day to partner with Him and with each other to share His love and see lives transformed as He takes the reigns and brings His will and purposes to pass. It’s amazing that in the midst of our ordinary days, we can truly be a part of something so extraordinary and literally, world-changing! Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?
I encourage all of you to take seriously the honor and privilege you have in Him to be a part of His work here. I’m doing the same thing – thinking about what this looks like in my marriage, in my relationships, in my work life, and even in my hobbies – and asking Him how I can be a reflection of Him and shine His light brighter in the places He’s called me to be. I’m thinking about my own “daughter-ness” in Him and how that should be impacting not only my life, but the lives of those around me. And while I know I’ve missed opportunities in the past to do my part in His Kingdom, I’m committed to not missing out now. I want to be a part of what He’s got in store in my corner of the world.
Let’s do this thing, sisters! Let’s be daughters who minister everywhere we go, no matter how much dark or light there may be in those places. Let’s trust Him to give us the words and lead us to action in order to share His Gospel and lead others to Him. He will help us and we will be a part of the best story ever told. And that, my friends, is awesome.

So we are Christ’s ambassadors;
God is making his appeal through us.
We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”
