Good morning, friends! It’s so nice to be back on here after two weeks away from the normal writing routine. Today I thought I’d share a little re-cap of our most recent trip back to Colorado, where we spent time with family and friends in both the Denver area and on Breckenridge Mountain! Let’s dive in, shall we?
Although I had been to Golden, Colorado before, I had only seen the Coors Brewery from the outside. On this trip, our friends took us on the actual brewery tour and then we ultimately had the chance to try various kinds of beer in their tasting room. The best part? It was totally free! Who doesn’t love free beer? It was a blast!

My brother and I. So great to see him again!
The next day, after sipping our coffee and re-packing up our belongings, we drove the two hours to Breckenridge, where my hubby, brother, and our good friend would spend the next couple of days skiing and snowboarding. The weather was absolutely perfect for not only their activities, but time spent with my mom and nephew exploring this amazing mountain town! I definitely want to go back here in the future!
Our awesome master suite at the condo we stayed in at the base of Breckenridge Mountain.
Cheering on our Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50! And they WON!
Skis and snowboards at the main peak on Breckenridge Mountain. My mom, nephew, and I rode the gondola up to check it out!
The town of Breckenridge is absolutely fantastic with its shops, cafes, restaurants, and stunning views of the hills and mountains. It may be the best mountain town I’ve yet visited in Colorado, and I can’t wait to go back!
My nephew and I enjoying lunch with my mom. His little face and voice crack me up! I love him so much and am so glad we got to spend another long weekend together!
On the last full day of our trip, we headed back to the Denver area, but took a more scenic route through a couple of small towns and Clear Creek Canyon. And since it was so beautiful that day, we drove with the top off of our friends’ Jeep Rubicon! Loved it!
Perfect blue sky and sunshine for cruising through the canyon!

A look back before the sun dipped over the canyon walls.
Overall, it was another Colorado trip for the books and I am thankful for yet another fabulous getaway that allowed us to escape the harshness of winter in Michigan, if even for just a few days.
I’m not sure when I’ll get back out there, but I hope it will be sooner than later as Colorado has my heart in so many ways – family, friends, and the incredible beauty of creation – all of which fills my heart to the brim!
Until next time, Colorado …
